What you will need to know if your pet is INTACT (has not been spayed or neutered)
We are happy to be able to accommodate INTACT guests that have yet to be spayed or neutered.
There are a few things that are important to know should you be booking a stay with us and your pet is currently INTACT.
*Please note: we cannot under any circumstance take a guest in our care that is currently in their HEAT cycle or will go into heat during a visit. It is the pet owners responsibility to make arrangements should a pet in our care go into heat during a visit. We will not check in your pet if you arrive and they are going into heat or are experiencing their heat cycle in any way.
For guests that are coming for a day play or an overnight boarding experience, it is important to know that we make special considerations when it comes to playtime and socialization. The details will be discussed at your pets' check in how we manage our intact guests for playtime and create positive experiences for our guests.
The Kelowna Pet Resort does NOT put any intact males or females into our main daycare group under any circumstances.
We will still mix dogs that have yet to be spayed or neutered in small playgroups. We want safety and the well being our guests to remain our top priority when matching any guests that are intact. We reserve the right to decline mixing a guest that is intact for any reason.
